A Little Update from Behind the Lens

June 16, 2025

Hey sweet friends! So here’s something simple and exciting…I’ve quietly launched a new little website to share some of the farmstay photography in North Carolina that I’ve been doing over the years, especially for our Airbnb guests and local families: JenSimpsonPhoto.com.

No, I’m not changing directions. I’m not leaving Farm Trouvaille behind. This isn’t some big rebrand or “new chapter.” It’s just… me making space for one more part of what I love.

I’ve been a photographer since 2003. Over the years, I’ve had a few different sites and setups, but this one feels like the softest and most “me” so far. I wanted a space that could hold the photos I take here on the farm, for our Airbnb guests, and for local families—especially those in the foster and adoption community, or fellow homeschoolers needing portraits that don’t feel like school photos.

Why Farmstay Photography Matters (and How It Fits In)

I’m still very much rooted in the farm. That’s where my heart is. But over time, I realized that when guests book a stay and see “free photo session included,” they might wonder… is this just someone with an iPhone?

So I created JenSimpsonPhoto.com to answer that question, gently and visually. Now, if someone’s curious, they can see for themselves that yes, I’ve been doing this a long time. Yes, I love capturing real moments. And yes, it’s still full of intention.

Whether you’re a guest, a local family, or someone who responds when I post “Hey, I need a model for a wildflower shoot!”, now there’s a place you can peek at my work and see what I’m about.

What This Means for Farmstay Photography in North Carolina

Nothing’s changing here at Farm Trouvaille…this is still the heart of it all. But if you’re planning a stay or just want to see what kind of images I capture around the farm, go take a look. You’ll see real families, muddy boots, golden light, and the joy I try to weave into everything we do here.

This isn’t a brand shift. It’s just a quiet side door into another part of the same cozy home.

Thanks for being here. And if you’re one of the folks who’s been waiting for updated photos from me on social media for… um… two+ years, well, here you go…ha!

It’s a small, meaningful extension of what I already do—offering farmstay photography in North Carolina that feels like home. Curious about staying at Farm Trouvaille and getting your own photo session? You can explore more on our Airbnb listing or browse photo sessions at JenSimpsonPhoto.com. I’d love to see you at the farm.
