A CHANCE ENCOUNTER

Something Wonderful

With Something Wonderful

trou·vaille, NOUN

Tucked away on a hillside in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. you'll find a working farm filled with friendly creatures and even friendlier caretakers. A place where the air is sweet, the views are breathtaking, and where time seems to take a slower pace.

WELCOME TO AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE -

Welcome to
Farm Trouvaille

Whether you're strolling through the open fields, sharing stories around the crackling fire, or simply unwinding with a glass of wine while taking in the view from our summer kitchen, this is a place where the stress and worry of everyday life fades away.

Embrace the slower pace of life, where each moment
is an opportunity to connect with nature, recharge your spirit, and rediscover the joy of genuine relaxation.

"This location was truly magical! Ten out of ten - would recommend!"

You get MORE than you could ever pay for. The view is life changing and puts everything into perspective! Jennifer is SUPER sweet and inviting, and was a well spring of information about the farm and surroundings, and gave us ideas for fishing places for my husband to try. The animals are loving, welcoming and a reflection of the love and care that Jennifer and her family show into them. We were only here for a weekend but my husband and I were able to reconnect and just debrief from LIFE.

Frequently asked questions

DO YOU ALLOW PETS?

We love all animals, and care for their safety, so we do not allow pets to accompany you. This is a working farm, and I would hate if something happened to your pet, or one of ours. Airbnb has a pet friendly section that would allow you to view the available stays for you.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO STAY?

Spring and Autumn steal the show with vibrant colors while Winter offers cozy fireside moments. Summers bring warmth and water activities. Our mild climate ranges from 80s in Summer to 40-60s in Spring and Fall, with chilly evenings. Winter brings snow, typically 2-3 times. Check weather for Winter stays. Every season here is delightful!

WHAT DO PEOPLE ENJOY BEST ABOUT THEIR STAY?

Many wish for more time at the summer kitchen. Guests appreciate the free photo session as a memorable keepsake. Staying more than one night is recommended for exploring nearby hiking spots, wineries, and charming downtown areas in Burnsville and Spruce Pine. Don't miss the observatory and planetarium, just five minutes away. And meet Teddy, our beloved livestock guardian dog - be sure to grab some stickers!

How close are you to…..?

We are close to many favorite stops.
Boone: 1hr
Asheville: 1hr
Access to Blue Ridge Parkway: 15 min approximately
Loafers Glory: 20 min
Crabtree Falls: 15 min
Linville Falls: 20 min
Johnson City, TN: 1 hr

Do you have food delivery, or restaurants nearby?

While we do not have food delivery available in the area, we do have plenty of restaurants to choose from both in Burnsville and in Spruce Pine. Anything from coffee shops to gastro pubs!

I see you have some food and toiletries in the guest house, are we allowed to use them?

Absolutely! We provide extra items for convenience, especially considering our location. Whether it's a late-night snack or a forgotten toothbrush, we've got you covered. I've tried to anticipate any essentials you might need, as I often find myself forgetting things when traveling. Since we're in a small town, it's just easier not to have to make extra trips. Please only use what you require.
